Adult staff must pass a background check. Youth assistants will be closely supervised.

Karen Baker
Volunteer Coordinator. I am a resident of Fairbanks for 48 yeaars. I was an active member of the Culinary Union, ranging from labor to management. I have worked as a Travel Consultant for a number of years. I have owned a small business, and volunteered/supported numerous nonprofits.
Elfa Buggey
Instructor, Health Coordinator. I have lived in Alaska for 27 years. I drove a school bus when I first arrived. I have assisted with Baha’i Faith children’s classes. Currently, I drive a UAF shuttle bus transporting students and staff on campus.
Nikki Kinne
Artist/Instructor. As an Early Childhood Development specialist, I have worked as Special Needs Coordinator for Head Start. I have been a professional watercolor artist, and am now creating fabric art.
Virginia Young
Instructor. Residence: Nenana, AK
Education: Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree, Univ. of Alaska, 1974
Occupations: Retired, Accounting positions in small agencies and businesses for 20+ yrs. Managed a peony farm near Nenana for 15 yrs.
Volunteer work: Taught Baha’i Childrens Spiritual Education classes for 10 yrs. Volunteer at the Nenana Fire Dept.
